Job Overview
As a Business Analyst, you demonstrate a strong aptitude for relationship management, requirement gathering, and the ability to transform requirements into a consumable format. Here are the roles you’ll play:
Roles You Will Play
The Liaison
- Establish relationships with business partners and IT department to provide process solutions to meet user needs
- Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that specifications are correctly interpreted
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
- Help lead planning sessions related to projects or new technologies intended to implement process improvement within the functional area
- Assist RPA developers with requirements gathering, conducting gap analysis, and scope definition for short- and long-term projects
- Interpret customer requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders
The Visionary
- Implement process improvement roadmaps by coordinating with internal partners to ensure timely delivery of all process-related objectives
- Define and develop enhancements to existing products and systems based on operational feedback
- Analyze organizational strategies and business processes to assist in the development of solutions that are fully aligned with overall business goals
- Use industry knowledge to recommend options that will optimize company functions or processes
- Prepare business specifications and lead coordination of the rollout of enhancements to existing products and systems
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements; gather processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary
The Problem Solver
- Monitor and analyze metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and vendor performance
- Assess process improvement opportunities utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying priorities and advise on options
- Plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes to improve and support business systems and activities
- Translate non-technical business requirements into technical requirements; create and modify the business rules utilized by our core systems based on business user needs
- Work with non-technical users to determine their technical and system requirements and help them to define the scope of their system requirements
- Offer support, analyze, and troubleshoot system issues reported by end users
- Internally consult with process owners and managers to help them address concerns with processes; work with process owners to submit enhancements to the processes as needed
- Provide periodic status reports and project plans documenting milestones and potential disruptions to project goals

Building Blocks of Success
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems, or related field
- Demonstrated experience with systems and/or software troubleshooting
- Ability to own quality assurance and the release management lifecycle on behalf of IT
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to track and perform multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical associates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to be tasked with additional responsibilities
