We are now hiring for a Quality Manager in our Greenfield, OH manufacturing site who will be responsible for leading the Quality function and activities.
BACKGROUND PREFERRED:
- Bachelors Degree in a Technical Field
- Automotive experience, preferably with Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Ford
- APQP (Control Plan, Process Flow, FMEA)
- Quality System Experience (i.e. ISO9000, ISO14000, ISO/TS16949)
- Quality System Auditing
- Sample Submission process and components: SQAM for Toyota
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Specific Customer product launch requirements (Toyota, Chrysler, Ford, Honda)
- Customer Quality System requirements
- Understanding of Customer specific MSA and data collecting requirements (gage R&R, Capability studies, Bias/Linearity, SPC, FTT)
- Drawing & GD&T understanding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Leadership for quality improvement activities in the facility.
- Conduct customer visit and interface with customers in both formal and informal settings.
- Oversee Quality launch activities for new programs per customer requirements and coordinates the resolution of customer concerns.
- Maintains and improves product quality by leading product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits through the Quality auditing and inspection process. Including but not limited to the production floor, incoming inspection and the training/supervision of Quality Auditors.
- Coordinates, schedules, and supervises the day to day activities of the quality function on the plant floor and resolves production quality concerns.
- Compile monthly reports on key performance indicators and reviews with leadership team
- Management Representative for the facility Quality Management and Environmental Systems including overseeing Plant measureables, trends, Quality System effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Oversee the ongoing development and training of policies and procedures relative to Quality Management Systems.
- Deal directly with customers on product problems. Investigate substandard results and conducts research on product defects in order to make recommendations on changes in materials or processes.
- Track and manage supplier performance
- Supervises the internal audit system to assure that Quality Management Systems compliance is evident.
- Participate in external Quality Management Systems audits and subsequent surveillance audits
- Coordinate the Corrective and Preventative Actions program.
- Responsible to communicate in all aspects of customer requirements and concerns and acting as the facility customer representative.
