We are a growing construction company in Sioux Falls, SD and are in need of a dedicated estimator. Though experience is preferred, we are most interested in motivated individuals who posses the necessary skills to perform the job. Description and Responsibilities

· You will be working closely with Project Managers and Owners to develop both initial budgets and detailed estimates.

· You will be visiting potential jobsites and should be able to assist Project Manager with taking measurements and notes relating to potential work.

· Candidate should be presentable and act in a manner that displays professionalism.

· Candidate should be able to visualize the needs of the client after the meetings and be able to effectively communicate that with subcontractors, suppliers, or other team members.

· Candidate may be requested to do rough concept sketches for budget purposes prior to working with Drafters or Architects for the purpose of budgeting this may be done paper or on Chief Architect software.

· Candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills.

· Candidate should be able to procure budgets/bids from subcontractors, follow up with subcontractors, and provide relevant information to subcontractors.

· Candidate must understand construction plans, specifications, and the bidding process.

· Candidate will be responsible for writing bid packages and scope letters to ensure there is no scope gap in the estimates.

· Candidate will be responsible for establishing and changing data as needed for estimates and tracking win rates and following up on bid tabs.

· Candidate will be responsible for working with Project Managers in awarding bids and providing notice to proceed.

· Candidate will assist with a hand off meeting from Estimating to the Project Team.

· Candidate will also assist with submittals, RFP’s and RFI’s

· Expected to deliver bids in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifiers

· Should have strong communication skills.

· Should have strong computer skills utilizing:

o Excel

o Word

o Planswift

o Bluebeam

o Procore

o Quickbooks

· Should be detail oriented. Including a strong ability in working with numbers.

· Should be able to prioritize time and tasks.

· Be process driven and be able to provide input to create processes.

Training will be available for the right candidates that meet a portion of the requirements outlined above.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sioux Falls, SD 57104: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
