What are we looking for
At Stone Systems (www.stone-systems.com) we are looking for Machine Operators for our Shop in Albuquerque, NM. Machine Operators control and manipulate machinery in a wide variety of fields to produce goods, make repairs or join our systems together.
What you will do
As an Machine Operator you would be responsible for preparing and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment.
Job Expectations:
- Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles and sink cutouts using tools required in the process
- Verifies all pieces were checked, fabricated and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete
- Meet daily productivity goals
- Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates and measuring their dimensions
- Record product and processing data on specified forms when needed
- Assist in minor repair and maintenance on assigned equipment
- Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof, face mask, etc.)
- Assuring all work area is cleaned and organized
What you need to succeed
EXPERIENCE
Desired:
- Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz
- Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields
- Experience operating a forklift
EDUCATION
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
KNOWLEDGE
Required:
- Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc)
- Basic knowledge in maintenance
SKILLS
Required:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
