Cosette is headquartered in Bridgewater, NJ with 2 additional locations in the U.S. The South Plainfield, NJ office consists of an R&D Laboratory and other functional areas. The Lincolnton, NC site is a fully functioning, state of the art, manufacturing facility.

Basic Purpose:
Provide technical support to plant operations
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Basic and intermediate microbiological testing of raw materials, in process, finished product, and stability samples
• Routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, finished product, and stability samples
• Special testing in support of method, process, or instrument validation activities and laboratory/process investigations
• Qualification and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment in support of laboratory testing
• Reporting of results generated during testing
• Training of analysts in the laboratory- Training analysts in techniques and methods used in analytical testing
• Adherence to policies of EHS - Safety in the laboratory and proper handling of chemicals and laboratory waste
• Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
Education/Training/Work Experience:
• MS in Microbiology, or BS/BA in microbiology or related science with two or more years of relevant experience
• Detailed understanding of general microbiology principles
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
• Familiarity with principles of laboratory safety
• Understanding of requirements of current Good Manufacturing Practices
• Experience with SOP and monograph generation
Equipment and Applications:
• Microsoft Access
• Analytical Balance
• pH meter
• Vacuum Oven
• Microscope
• Autoclave
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
• Wear appropriate PPE safety glasses, gloves and labcoat.
• Ability to wear respirator when required.
• Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds
