We are currently seeking an experienced Mohs Surgeon & Cosmetic Dermatologist to join our team at AboutSkin Dermatology & DermSurgery located in Greenwood Village, CO.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of dermatological conditions and skin cancer. Your expertise will help our patients achieve healthier skin, and your skills will be an essential part of our mission to provide comprehensive care.
This position entails a dynamic schedule encompassing diverse areas within dermatology including 1-2 days per week for Mohs surgeries, and 1-2 days per week for general dermatology surgeries and cosmetic surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat dermatologic patients.
- Provide expert consultation on complex cases, including skin cancer management.
- Perform MOHS surgeries with precision and expertise, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients.
- Conduct a variety of general dermatology surgeries, including but not limited to excisions, biopsies, and other surgical interventions as needed.
- Provide a comprehensive range of cosmetic dermatologic procedures including laser treatments, chemical peels, injectables (such as neuromodulators and dermal fillers), and other cosmetic surgeries.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting procedures, progress, and treatment plans according to established guidelines.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in dermatologic surgery, cosmetic techniques, and technologies through ongoing education and training initiatives.
Requirements:
- Valid medical license and medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Dermatology.
- Colorado medical license (or ability to obtain before hire).
- Completion of a recognized fellowship program in Mohs surgery.
- Extensive experience in performing Mohs surgery and a broad spectrum of general dermatological procedures.
- General knowledge of CLIA requirements.
- Profound knowledge and skillset in cosmetic dermatology, encompassing various aesthetic procedures and technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate demeanor, fostering trust and rapport with patients.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with advancements in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures.
