RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial, depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents
- Obtain case-related documents from third parties
- Manage discovery, including document productions
- Maintain and organize case files
- Calendaring
- Client contact
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well under stress
- Ability to handle shifting priorities with flexibility and patience
- Careful attention to detail
- Team player, with ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain high ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality.
PREFERRED:
- 5 years’ experience in the legal field
- Ability to work and bill as a paralegal under Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 6450
- Paralegal Certification
- Proficient in common office computer applications
- Understanding and knowledge of legal procedures, rules of counsel, and local rules
- Experience with eDiscovery
