This role sits on the executive leadership level, reporting directly to the company’s COO/CTO, and will help drive technology excellence throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):
- Deliver scalable system and data architecture and process improvement, operational excellence, and implementation of modern technology infrastructure.
- Create and drive the technology roadmap for our web, mobile and in-store user interfaces prioritizing enhancements, add-on’s and new features against company’s objective to improve conversion rate and deliver best in class customer experiences.
- Drive holistic data lake / data warehouse deployments in close collaboration with business intelligence stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Drive software engineering excellence in terms of code creation, deployment, QA/QC, etc
- Manage technology budget including investment of new tools, scope/level of newly added team members, and professional development expenses.
- Oversee DevOps team to ensure system infrastructure, middleware and integrations are functioning and working efficiently.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and metrics assigned to direct reports.
- Align organizational security plan and infrastructure with overall business strategy.
- Lead the efforts to protect sensitive digital information and reduce risk of technological breaches by expanding the company’s security infrastructure in response to ongoing changes in the security landscape, including new risks, adherence to applicable regulations and disaster recovery.
- Respond to feedback from stakeholders and use it to make improvements or adjustments.
- Communicate our technology strategy to our partners as well as investors.
- Direct the organization's internal IT infrastructure, networks, end points, etc.
Job Requirements (Who You Are):
- Technical Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent related experience.
- 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, 5 of which are of executive leadership stature.
- Experience leading technology for a digitally native or digitally focussed brand with headless commerce stack in CPG industry.
- Experienced leading onshore and offshore teams including Software Engineering, QA, IT, DevOps and Cyber Security.
- Proven success in planning and delivering product roadmap, managing budget, schedule and resources.
- Ability to attract, develop and retain diverse teams of technical talent, creating a collaborative, inclusive and supportive environment.
- Fostering an environment of continued improvement leading to higher quality of code, stable releases, and fewer bugs.
- Effective, solutions focused, and innovative engineering style of leadership.
- Manage multiple engineering vendor contracts and relationships and determine how and when to scale vendors versus internal staff to meet short and long-term company goals.
- Previous experience in building overall platform architecture and modern application stacks delivered with automation and high availability at top of mind.
