What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vaccinator position at Cottage Health?
Join Cottage Health as a Vaccinator . The Vaccinator will administer COVID-19 vaccinations to patients and document the administration in the patient record. Major accountabilities include:
- Employees will be required to perform any job, with related instruction given by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.
- Find the patient in the Rover handheld device connected to Epic to confirm patient has appointment. Confirm that adequate and accurate information is being retained and document medication information (brand, lot number, etc.)
- Administer vaccination and sign off on administration.
- Observe patient receiving vaccination for a defined period of time.
- Identify adverse reaction to vaccine and request appropriate emergency response.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: Graduate of an applicable program to allow individual to achieve California clinical license listed below or semester 3 or 4 nursing student or graduate from an accredited nursing program
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: Any California licensed practitioner qualified and approved by their governing body to provide vaccines: Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Pharmacist, Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Psychiatric Tech, EMT/Paramedic with vaccination training, Dentist, etc., or Semester 3 or 4 nursing student or graduate from an accredited nursing program, and AHA BLS
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish
Salary : $72,400 - $91,700
