Seeking woodshop Technical Director to oversee quality control and quality assurance.

Our new woodshop Technical Director will need uphold level of quality in product, and verify standards are executed.
The ideal candidate must operate with a high degree of skill, self-sufficiency, desire to teach, and driven to continuously learn. We are looking to bring on an individual with a minimum 5 years of woodshop experience with strong production management.
Woodshop Technician Roles:
- A genuine passion for woodworking
- Manage all level of project execution
- Material planning and quality control of received material
- Evaluation of shop drawings
- Supervision and training
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Collaborate with production manager developing efficiencies to meet schedule
- Help facilitate shop workflow, equipment, and tooling efficiencies
- Develop a standard procedures
Woodshop Technician responsibilities include, but not limited too:
- Quality control: Monitor the production process. Responsible for releasing product for shipment.
- Quality assurance: Work with the team to establish and meet the standard of quality. Ensure work received from outside partners is to standard.
- Write technical related and training SOP’s for the woodshop
- Review approved drawings, identify critical paths, and contribute to build method.
- Actively eliminate defects and rework - track metrics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tools/machinery
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and competently
- Advance use hand tools
- Operate a table saw, miter saw, jointer, planer, shaper.... etc.
- Cut, fabricate, and the assembly of cabinets, faceframes, doors and drawer fronts
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on woodworking tools and machinery, and other general shop maintenance
- Knowledge of installation and assembly of custom millwork
- Application of various finishes
- Make weekly training videos on techniques, tools and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
