Director of Maintenance

The Maintenance Director is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department in the entire operation of nursing home. The essential duties include, but are not limited to:

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall Physical Plant of the building including:

· Landscaping

· HVAC (unless otherwise specified by a license)

· Lighting

· Fire systems

· Fixtures

· Plumbing

· Electrical

· Personnel management and budgeting

• Ensure that all physical aspects of the building are in working order.
• Maintain the physical plant within the state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Supervise assigned workers engaged in maintaining the facility.
• Order and account for supplies needed for maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry and the upkeep of the facility.
• Ensure high standards of safety, and operation/care of equipment in the facility.
• Maintain and strive to improve standards of environmental services.

Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• One year of demonstrated successful management experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Must possess basic knowledge in building and equipment maintenance and related areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000-$60,000/year DOE
