What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Merchandise Manager position at County Market?
The County Market General Merchandise/Health & Beauty Care Manager (GM/HBC) will lead department operations including but not limited to maximizing gross margins, ensuring sales production, controlling inventory and expenses. The GM/HBC Manager works with other departments with cross merchandising.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
- Proper handling and rotation of product
- Quality assurance checks in all areas of the department
- Ensures department is adequately stocked
- Reviews department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
- Responsible for company assets including receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventory of the department
- Operate and use all equipment necessary to run the department
- Merchandise planning and execution that leads to a well merchandised store
- Follows all store and department policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation: BOE. FT, Hourly position with benefits that include annual wage reviews, medical, dental, prescription and life insurance, paid holidays, vacations. We are an Associate owned company with a retirement plan that includes an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Profit Sharing and 401K
