The County of San Diego Office of Auditor & Controller has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Auditor & Controller.
This is a key role in upholding the department's mission and ensuring the delivery of critical financial services to the County of San Diego.
Under the direction of the Auditor-Controller, this position will be responsible for a wide variety of functions and requires excellent management, organizational, communication, technical, and project management skills.
The Assistant A&C will be vital to the department's mission to ensure financial integrity, promote accountability in government, and maintain public trust.
Our team is proud to be the leading financial management resource of the County, whose long-term objective is to expand its role from the controller to a provider of value-added financial services.
Key examples of this role's impact include providing oversight for the Department's divisions and special projects of considerable scope, complexity, and sensitivity, representing the Auditor-Controller in assuming leadership roles and directing the development and implementation of programs, staffing, and information systems that increase Departmental operation effectiveness and efficiency.
This is an unclassified management-level position that will have a hybrid teleworking schedule, with a combination of in-office and teleworking days.
