What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator Trainer position at County of Sonoma?
Job Summary: Provides and coordinates new hire operator training for all production floors. Provides guidance to coaches and operators on the production floors.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train to all SMC Policy and Procedures with in the first 30 day requirement set by SMC.
- Ability to communicate with Training Coordinator, HR, Supervisors, Managers and other departments
- Enter and Send completed new hire survey’s to Supervisors and Managers
- Train coaches to perform their job duties and responsibilities.
- Gives support to the operator coach on the shift.
- Work with the leadership teams in getting and giving feedback on the coaches and/or operators
- Float and help train operators on the production floors
- Send all training documentation to Training Coordinator
- Follow Leader Standard Work
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3-5 years Manufacturing experience
- Ability to speak in front of large groups
- Knowledgeable on SMC Policy and Procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
ADA Requirements:
Shop II
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently
- Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
- Occasional climbing to reach areas on machines or racks
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
- Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
