The ideal candidate will be able to: Monitor inbound/outbound truck activity. Acquire and monitor accurate truck weights. Communicate with various departments any scale operational issues or any information they are requesting regarding tonnage Keep accurate records of all tickets, manifests and supplies. Handle special projects assigned by supervisor and any other related duties. Obtain information from O&D form from driver & confirm all information is correct Ensuring that incoming loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material based on O&D form Enter truck information into computer systems. Weigh trucks in and out. Ensure Weekly Walkdowns are completed Ensure Drivers are in compliance with DEP Regulations/Safety Rules Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Providing general upkeep of the Scale House. Approach all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Answer the telephone and provide information to the public regarding hours of operation Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention. Work different shifts, including Saturdays/Holidays and Sundays if necessary. Position Requirements: HS/GED diploma (college education preferred) 1 -3 years administrative, clerical and accounting experience •Strong computer skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Highly organized: working within deadlines to complete projects or assignments, and ability to multi-task and focus on day-to-day details. Knowledge of basic principles of records management The Scale House is open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week from 12:00 am to 11:59pm Saturday. Must be able to work rotating shifts of 12am-8am, 8am-4pm, and 4pm-12am Covanta is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
