What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Technician position at Covenant Care Services?

  • Job Description

o Full time position requiring 36-40 hours each week. Administers adaptive behavior treatment under the direction of the Behavior Therapist. Adaptive behavior treatment services are designed to teach behavioral interventions directly to client and/or with the client’s team members. Interventions being taught will be described in the individual’s behavior support plan written by the Therapist.

  • Qualifications**

o Bachelor’s Degree in social work, Psychology, or Human Services

o Must have working vehicle and valid driver's license.

oMust have flexible schedule so that treatment can be provided during evenings and weekends when necessary.

oTime management skills and must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, supervisors, peers, and community members.

o Committed to ongoing training and development, organizational policies and procedures, and client confidentiality.

o Must use sound judgment and seek appropriate consultation from their supervisor to ensure treatment is provided without disruption to the client, to others, and to the environment.

  • Responsibilities**
  • Implement the interventions developed by Qualified Health Care Professional (QHCP)

o Provide instruction and introducing behavior protocols to clients.

o Provide direct assistance to the QHCP and engage in data collection procedures.

o Provide behavioral interventions in home, community, and school settings and use ABA interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors.

o Providing direct client care in one-on-one and group settings

o Following the behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocols

o Collecting and recording data based on client behavior

o Communicating with clients and caregivers regarding client progress

o Assisting QHCP with behavior reduction assessments and skills acquisition

o Assisting QHCP in the preparation of client materials

o Assist w/Crisis Intervention and Response

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
