JOB SUMMARY
The Application Analyst Lead - Acute, working as a member of the Information Systems (IS) team, oversees team productivity of assigned tasks related to projects and technical requests, and provides advanced direction and prioritization in all areas of the departments tasks and initiatives. Acts as a backup for departmental leaders in their absence. Assists department director with recruiting and orienting staff. Supports the entire acute applications suite and works with end users and vendors to resolve issues and obtain efficient and cost-effective solutions. Monitors QA project review, and report cards to rectify any service related issues and to spot problem trends. Supports end user implementation of new or upgraded software solutions. Maintains end user security standards on existing corporate software applications. Assures that end user software application training and education is relevant, effective, and fits the work process of the end user area. The Acute Application Analyst Lead leads and provides customer and application support of Epic and other Covenant Health applications that support business processes across Covenant Health acute services. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide guidance and solutions to application and/or process issues; identifies root causes and proactive enterprise solutions. The incumbent leads and partners with other Covenant Health ITS teams and vendor support teams to resolve application issues when necessary and provides on-call support as scheduled.
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in the Business Sciences, Health Sciences (Nursing, Medicine, etc.) or in Information Systems. Master’s preferred. Candidates who do not meet this requirement may be considered if they have achieved applicable certifications and requisite work experience.
Experience
8 years experience with EHR or software implementations, specifically Epic acute clinical modules (e.g. ClinDoc, ASAP, Stork, OpTime, Radiant, etc) and/or Sunquest.
Strong project management and facilitation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, project management tools, Teams, WebEx, and other applications.
Licenses/Certifications
Acute Clinical license (e.g. RN, LPN, Rad Tech, Lab Tech) preferred
Epic Acute Module Proficiency or Certification and/or Sunquest proficiency
