POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Director of Pastoral Care and maintains the personal competency of integrity as it relates to the organization as a whole. The purpose of this position is to support our patients and staff in providing support and pastoral care while supporting our mission and values as a Catholic healthcare ministry.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The per diem chaplain functions as a team member of the Pastoral Care department and Mission Integration team. The chaplain provides spiritual, emotional and religious care to patients, families and staff of all faiths and/or no faith affiliation. Areas of focus for this position may include; hospital, practices, home health and hospice and on call (nights and weekends).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 1 unit of ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) REQUIRED. Master in Theology, Pastoral Care or equivalent preferred and four units of ACPE-accredited CPE preferred. Certification through NACC, APC or other equivalent certifying organization preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of hospital or parish ministry preferred. Good communication skills, computer skills, spiritual care assessment skills and ability to be a productive member of a team.
