Arizona Centers for Digestive Health is hiring a full-time ,on-site, Procedure Scheduler to join our amazing team in West Phoenix at 9321 W. Thomas Road, Suite 405.
About the Opportunity
Under the day to day general direction of the Practice Manager, the Scheduler handles and routes incoming calls. Additionally, the Scheduler is responsible for insurance verification as needed and the correct handling of patient charts.
This role will operate from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and maintain medical charts.
- Verify patient contact and insurance information.
- Register patients and update demographic details.
- Ensure documentation of required patient records.
- Safeguard patient chart confidentiality and retrieval.
- Provide non-medical information and instructions.
- Enter new patient demographics and insurance data.
- Secure informed consent signatures before services.
- Coordinate referral data exchange when needed.
- Handle incoming calls, route calls, and take messages
About the Candidate
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must be competent in the use of basic office equipment including computer, printer, telephone and fax.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and remain poised and professional when interacting with potentially hostile patients and family members.
- Must possess excellent clerical and organizational skills.
