Description

Summary

The CI Specialist is responsible for leading Continuous Improvement culture initiatives and driving sustainable progress in operational and other performance-based metrics. This individual will collaborate effectively with Operations (both hourly and salaried), Quality, Purchasing and Leadership to assure company project goals and objectives are being met, and implement countermeasures where and when necessary. Additionally, they will be the leading resource for Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of improvement for plant operational efficiencies -opportunities to improve efficiency, methods, equipment, reduce waste, improve time.
  • Evaluate process capability to understand opportunities for future growth.
  • Lean Manufacturing – champion process improvement and lean manufacturing activities.
  • Lead lean Six Sigma culture at the plant level.
  • Work as a resource to plant staff on all continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish training procedures for new processes and equipment.
  • Indirectly reports to and takes direction from Manufacturing manager.
  • Work with NetSuite ERP system for project improvements.

Qualifications


           QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in LEAN manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development or related field preferred.
  • Certifications/Knowledge: Lean Certification or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and other database systems required. NetSuite experience preferred

    Ability to read reports, orders, and other documentation.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
