Job Description
In the Systems Engineer II position will drive management of CCI's Information Management platforms and systems through the execution data scans, profiles and tagging. You will be responsible for providing hands on expertise as it pertains to the technical enablement of our data governance and privacy policies. You will work with key stakeholders to map regulatory compliance requirements to technical designs for implementation by the Data Support Systems team. These projects will be conducted in a fast-paced and agile environment where all initiatives are aligned with corporate directives.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Enable data retention governance and compliance capabilities for Cox Communications through the mapping of policies to technical assets and the effective configuration and development of Cox's retention management application.
- Assist in the development of data governance products to ensure the effective and efficient use of datasets as well as compliance to technology policies and best practices.
- Effectively communicate the status of Information Management projects to technical and non-technical personnel, including peers and senior management, in one-on-one and/or group settings.
- Perform data impact assessments and analysis based on business requests.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline any and all Information Management processes and systems. Execute on strategies to improve data accuracy and speed to deliver IM capabilities.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to software engineers as it pertains to IM new build and enhancement activities. Have a strong understanding of technical architecture and designs.
- Lead analyst responsibilities for Information Management platform technology solutions
- Participate in the roadmap, sprint planning activities, and agile board maintenance
- Develop and document platform requirements for new products and features while working closely with the Data Governance and Privacy teams.
- Enable and enhance Information Management AI and ML capabilities to auto detect rules based data tags and correlation false positives for CCI metadata scans.
- Understanding of regulatory laws as they apply to data privacy rights for existing legislation.
- Work directly with stakeholders across all verticals to implement data retention solutions to audit and validate data policy compliance.
- Curate datasets to ensure scans are accurately capturing metadata tags in data catalog.
- Work directly with all Technology workstreams to maintain and enhance existing solutions to scan, retrieve and prepare datasets for data privacy rights reports.
- Leverage APIs and other technical resources to integrate system solutions to Information Management applications
- Perform data onboarding activities into Informatica EDC. Includes data analysis, onboarding and testing activities
- Perform troubleshooting activities to include root cause analysis, diagnosis, testing and post-mortem write-ups for Information Management platform issues
- Responsible for Information Management platform integration projects
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience
- 3 years of experience in software and systems engineering
- Working knowledge Information Management data cataloging and data glossary platforms such as Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and Informatica Axon.
- Self-motivated with strong sense of project ownership & communication skills.
- Prior experience in data governance and privacy rights technology workstreams
- Working knowledge of SQL commands for data analysis activities
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Safe Agile methodology and framework
- Working knowledge of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), Axon and IDQ
- Technical analysis skills, business requirements documentation capabilities
- Working knowledge of Master Data Management solutions such as Informatica MDM
- Working knowledge of BigID platform
- Working knowledge of APIs and other data interface capabilities
