The ideal Board Operator acts like a conductor, moving sounds and audio elements in place to deliver compelling radio. Cox Media Group is seeking a Radio Board Operator.
Effective October 1, 2021, all newly hired CMG employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. CMG will provide reasonable accommodations as required by law for individuals unable to be vaccinated due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.
Schedule: Friday 10PM – Sat 6AM and Sunday 12 AM – Sunday 8AM (16 total hours)
Station: KRMG
Responsibilities:
Duties include operating audio controls and digital computer cart system, screening phone calls, and running live and recorded talk shows, sports programming and music operations for weekend and overnight shifts. Responsible for maintaining transmitter status of multiple sites, coordination of newscasts, recording and playback of remote broadcasts and audio routing for remote broadcasts and network studio events.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Running a radio control board
- Taking transmitter readings and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma/drug free/previous media experience helpful.
- Ability to take directions. Must be available to work nights and weekends.
