The Product Manager of Telephony Expense Management is responsible for the oversight and management of Cox’s $50 Million in telephony based spend across multiple divisions and is chartered with delivering consultative cost reduction, cost avoidance, savings, and ROI. The Product Manager will be responsible for supporting project initiatives, product lifecycle management, and vendor management across the Cox family of companies. This position will work closely with finance, sourcing, and telecommunications infrastructure teams. The candidate will support process and cost improvement initiatives and manage these initiatives to completion. This role is part of an enterprise IT solutions and service delivery organization.
Job Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
Manage the end to end spend lifecycle of Cox’s telephony based spend.
Foster collaboration between Sourcing, Finance, and IT groups.
Model and lead strong client service commitment philosophy
Build and nurture relationships with key customers, peers within the organization, key vendors / partners, and professionals in other organizations
Work with key stakeholders to identify varying business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
Financial Management
Manage Cox’s $50 million in telephony based spend
Produce vendor spend forecasts that marry up with vendor contractual commitments and identify potential shortfalls or gaps.
Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement and identify new areas of potential spend management
Forensic analysis of telecom invoices inclusive of receiving, reviewing, approving, auditing, optimizing, processing, validating payment, etc.
Technology Management
Manage the health of Cox’s Telephony Expense Management platform. Activities include but are not limited to monitoring the daily feed of information from HR systems, identification, and escalation of issues with TEM vendor, and validation of data integrity
Qualifications:
BS / MS in IT/Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry
Broad knowledge of telecommunication products and services, with a deep understanding of telecom technologies and billing systems
2+ years of experience leveraging a telecom expense management platform
Must demonstrate high integrity and strong customer service principles
Preferred:
Background in finance, financial analysis, and financial modeling
Strong collaboration skills and a desire to build internal stakeholder engagement
C-Level presentation and interaction skills
Job Skills:
Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills (including financial functions, formulas, shortcuts, pivot tables, lookups, charting/graphing) and command of PowerPoint (design, formatting, charting/graphing)
Demonstrates the ability to effectively voice concerns with management and executives
Experience in Process Improvement methodologies
