What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Specialist position at Cozzini Bros., Inc.?
Summary: Candidate will be highly organized with good quantitative ability for this position. They will be responsible for the implementation of all Cozzini’s Fleet Management processes. Supports the Operations teams by aiding in the managing of the day to day responsibilities as it relates to the company’s fleet. They are responsible for the adherence to company practices, implementation of policies and procedures, and prepares reports for senior management. They also ensure that vehicles are maintained and serviced accordingly, to keep up with the highest safety standards. Exercises discretion and the ability to influence and make decisions by applying independent judgement when needed. Acts as a liaison between Cozzini departments and provides on-going support and consultation to the Operations team as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains, updates, and manages fleet activities and databases
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles utilizing company vendors and programs
- Ordering and scheduling urgent and emergency repairs as needed
- Assesses and analyzes operational/fleet reports to make recommendations that result in operational cost savings/improvements
- Managing vehicle registrations and licensing, I-pass accounts, and company vehicle technology
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
- Ensures that the fleet is maintained in accordance with established standards, within acceptable timeframes and in a cost-efficient manner
- Provides project support on various initiatives, analysis, and operations projects
- Works with drivers and Area Managers to build productive working relationships
- Receives general instructions on fleet work, projects, and assignments
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each essential function satisfactorily. Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma with 5 years operations/fleet management experience preferred
