Job Description
Operations Supervisor
As part of the crude oil transportation operations team, this position is responsible for giving on-going analysis to continuously improve operations and provide direct supervision to professional drivers in support of the company s crude oil hauling operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provides remote and direct management to drivers and mechanics.
- Manage training, coaching, performance evaluation, and effective resolution of safety issues and claims
- Ensure maximum productivity and route management systems and establish productivity goals where needed; ensure adherence to operating standards and manage labor hours and hauling expenses.
- Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
- Lead operations to ensure compliance with all standards are met including environmental, operating, regulatory, and safety.
- Develop a best-in-class team and workplace culture and effectively manage performance and talent development.
- Maintain company lacts and stations.
- Conduct and review CP Station Over/Short
- Perform other assigned tasks
Preferred Candidate Requirements include:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of Crude Oil experience is preferred
- 1-2 years of Supervisory or management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and able to direct a large staff.
- Process and results oriented in setting and pursuing goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
