Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Functions as primary point person for IT projects for Washington University Clinical Associates (WUCA) primary care practices. Projects may include transition of WUCA practices onto EPIC; assisting practices with accessing resources for optimization of EPIC; coordinating resources among internal IT departments such as EPIC1, WUIT, FPP, PBS; managing all IT aspects of onboarding of new practices and physicians; determining medical record retention strategy for new practices/acquisitions; escalation and resolution of IT issues as needed. Works with senior leadership and key stakeholders to manage project, set deadlines, coordinate resources, communicate progress, remove barriers, follow through on tasks and anticipate issues. Requires customer service orientation, professionalism, proactive approach to problem solving and excellent multi-tasking skills. Position is key member of management team for WUCA and will be part of a growing organization. Job Description May require early or late meetings due to physician availability. Will require occasional travel across St. Louis region to various WUCA practice locations. Occasional meetings across WUMC campus. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Functions as a primary resource to and advocate for WUCA physicians, staff and practice managers for coordination of IT resources, resolution of IT issues and implementation of IT projects. Problem solves and implements solutions in partnership with WUSM resources, FPP staff and WUCA practices. Manages high priority IT projects for new and existing WUCA practices: identifies key issues, researches proposed solutions, identifies resources needed, seeks approval from senior leadership for funding, pulls together and leads project team, confers with organizational resources to remove barriers, and manages overall scope and timeline. Maintains strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders to produce collaboration and communication by utilizing project management and organizational skills to ensure successful completion of projects: creates and updates project workplans, prepares project status reports, manages budget and expenses, schedules and facilitates meetings, prepares minutes and follows up on action items, etc. Serves as point person for WUCA practices and physicians for coordinating access to resources for optimization of EPIC. Coordinates requests for WUCAT resources, provides guidance on EPIC training requirements, follows up on high priority service ticket items as needed. Assists FPP staff with implementation of organization-wide IT initiatives impacting WUCA practices: e.g. direct scheduling, MyChart implementation, desktop support transitions, EPIC upgrade issues, etc. Assesses current and future state customer needs and priorities by maintaining open communication directly with customers. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree and five years of experience. Knowledge of clinical workflow. Patience, excellent listening skills, professionalism, and empathy. Ability to assess specific needs of the customer and be able to communicate these to relevant IT resources. Excellent verbal and communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, subject matter experts, programmers, physicians, etc. Familiarity with EPIC and various software platforms utilized in healthcare. Required Qualifications Graduation from a college or university plus a minimum of two years of experience in a related field; additional project management experience in the field of work may be substituted for the required education. Grade G13 Salary Range $63,900.00 - $109,100.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
