What are the responsibilities and job description for the Premium Auditor position at CPAudits?
CPAudits is seeking experienced premium auditors to join their growing premium audit team. CPAudits is in a unique position to provide enhanced premium audit services for their clients in the insurance industry. Premium audits completed by our audit staff primarily include those for workers compensation and commercial general liability policies. Audits are completed for our clients on insureds located throughout the U.S. No physical audits! We perform 'virtual' or ‘hybrid’ premium audits only. No personal vehicle or any ‘windshield time’ is required. Our company is headquartered in the Chicago suburbs. However, qualified candidates living outside the Itasca, IL area are encouraged to apply. Our employee auditors are supported to work from home.
Successful candidates can demonstrate the ability to:
- Research businesses in all industries and verify their ownership for the purpose of classifying and completing 'virtual' audits.
- Examine primary and secondary source documents
- Determine accurate audit exposures upon reviewing financial documents, following client audit guidelines / instructions, and applying state specific audit standards.
- Communicate audit documentation requests and audit results to interested parties in a professional manner (both orally and written).
- Complete assigned work in a timely manner while following established company quality standards.
- Provide audit dispute resolution assistance or other duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
- Competent knowledge of Workers Compensation and General Liability coverages
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of NCCI Workers Compensation and ISO General Liability rules, manuals and practices
- Superior analytical skills
- Capable of independent research and analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing assigned audit inventory.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of premium audit experience.
- College degree preferred, but not required with adequate work experience.
-Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Internet access (required to work from home)
