The Program Director will be responsible for the implementation of strategic programs, monitoring of program performance, and evaluation of project leaders and projects for efficiency and accomplishments. As Program Director, your job duties include, program roadmap development, delivery of related projects, and innovative collaboration with fellow team members on creative solutioning to improve performance at all levels within the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop project budgets and reporting.
- Report detailed status updates to leadership and executive team.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed.
- Work with leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for programs.
- Resolve problems between program teams and other internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with program managers and other stakeholders to create detailed implementation plans. This includes deadlines, milestones, processes, and risk mitigation protocols.
- Provide processes for monitoring performance and collaborating with program teams to determine successful methodology for replication, as well as areas of necessary improvement.
- Develop detailed work plans, including work breakdown structures, project milestones, risk assessment / management plans, staffing needs, project timelines.
- Monitor and manage project governance, execution and delivery
- Proven track record as a successful program director, program manager, or project manager
- Experience managing teams through long, complex program implementations
- Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices
- Experience managing staff and budgets
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools
- Minimum of a BA, MA preferred
- 5-7 years related experience, with progressive responsibility in program project management
- PMP or other relevant certifications
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) a majority of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access cabinets and office machines.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers on project requirements, must be able to exchange accurate written or verbal communications.
- Must be able to assess information from computers.
- Works in indoor office conditions.
