Account Manager – Upper Midwest Territory
The essential functions of the Account Manager – Upper Midwest Territory to include:
Serves existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers with specified region and across a variety of food and related markets
Manages administrative tasks including price quote requests, commercialization process and customer follow up
Works closely with customer service, R&D operations, and sales management
Keeps management informed submitting activity and results such as call reports, weekly work plans month and annual territory analyses
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems/solutions; preparing reports, making recommendations to management
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Provides historical records by maintaining records and customer sales with company CRM
Contributes to team effort by accomplishments related results as needed
Technical Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and at least 5+ years’ experience in b2b sales; customer service, sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting, negotiation, product knowledge, client relationships and closing sales; specialty/solution sales experience preferred
Candidates should come with New Business Development and Account Management experience with current customers and new business opportunities in the food service space as well as retail space
