Journeyman Plumber
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Journeyman level plumbing and fire protection work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and related mechanical systems in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing and related systems. The maintenance work includes doing preventive maintenance on the building’s plumbing and related systems. Related systems include, but not limited to, Fire Sprinkler, Boiler, Hot and Chilled Water Piping, Irrigation and related components.
- Demonstrate a skilled plumbing ability which includes the use of small hand power tools, measuring devices, mechanical equipment, and common materials of the trade.
- Set up and clean up at project areas, complete plumbing work, and inspect completed work for the highest quality.
- Maintain, clean and organize work area and workshop.
- Display quality conscious work while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Communicate clearly with supervisor.
- Must be able to work flexible hours due to the type of organization that employs this position. Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work is assigned by means of verbal or written orders and is carried out by the position in accordance with standard practices of the heating and air conditioning trade
- Work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion
- Utilize blueprints, equipment diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Expected to exercise independent judgment in times of immediate need or emergency situations
- Assists in other work areas in the department or ballpark as needed or directed by the Senior Director of Engineering
- Duties are not specifically limited to the identified areas listed above
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years’ experience in Maintenance or Construction
- Licensed in State of Colorado
- Master License (Desirable)
- Back-flow prevention certificate (Desirable)
- Welding Knowledge / Certification (Desirable)
- Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, pdf software (Preferred).
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards .
- Working at heights on ladders and lifts as required.
- Operating equipment used in the building trades – forklift, lifts, carts, etc.
- Valid drivers license.
- Consistent, punctual and regular attendance.
- Professional image and demeanor.
- Customer service oriented & strong customer service skills.
- Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
- Must be able to work flexible hours due to the type of organization that employs this position and requires game day duties on nights and weekends.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds routinely.
- Be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel.
- Regular exposure to all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat.
- Must be able to work Mon. thru Fri. 8:00 am – 4:30 pm for normal shift. Game Days report time is 5 hours before game time until half hour after game. Hours may vary due to project requirements such as special game day duties, special event schedules, concerts, season preparation, etc.

SALARY RANGE:
- Hourly Range of $31-36. This is a regular status, full-time position eligible for all company benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision), Retirement, and accrued time off (Vacation/ Sick/ Holiday).
