Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

 

We at Cradlepoint are proud of our world class SaaS platform. Our Net Cloud Manager (NCM) provides management of millions of geographically distributed devices with a massive feature set offering Mobile, 5G, branch solutions with advanced Analytics offerings. One of our esteemed product offerings over NCM is Private cellular networks (PCN). The Radio configuration service is a crucial part of our PCN offerings. The team manages and drives requirements of the services of 5g Small cells and supports configuration of radios. The team is also responsible for building components like domain proxy. The ideal software engineer is a technical leader architecting and building radio configuration service platform in cloud and on-prem supporting various connection adapter stack.   

 

 

What Will You Do?

  • Design and architect cloud native services that apply to private cellular network
  • Design and own connection adapter for 4G/5G cells and domain proxy components
  • Very hands-on, writing beautiful code, and quickly building prototypes
  • Natural at writing unit tests and integrating into CI/CD
  • Design high-performant backend services with scalability in mind
  • Diagnose complex customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution
  • Pleasant to work with and a passion for solving customer problems with a can-do attitude
  • Work on an iterative and agile software delivery process
  • Collaborate closely with other cross-functional engineering teams
  • Deliver rock-solid production-ready code
  • Mentor other engineers and complete code reviews

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ten (10 ) years of experience developing backend services in distributed and cloud environments
  • Bachelor's and/or master’s in computer science or related field of study
  • Developed and maintained high performant microservices
  • A solid grasp on data structures and object-oriented design
  • Strong Networking background is highly desired
  • Strong at Linux fundamentals
  • Strong backend programming skills in Golang, python, or equivalent is a must
  • Has experience in Kubernetes or equivalent orchestrator platform and docker
  • Knowledge in Networking stack and application protocols like HTTP, TR069, Netconf
  • Experience with RESTful services and APIs
  • Experience with scaling backend services using caching technologies such as Redis
  • Experience with services deployed in cloud-computing environments, AWS, AZURE, or GCP
  • Comfortable with scoping effort and estimating development tasks

 

Bonus Points: 

  • Understanding of CI/CD

Compensation and Benefits at Cradlepoint

Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below.  The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

 

  • $143,500 - $266,800

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. This variable pay opportunity is dependent upon the attainment of agreed to goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint’s Senior Leadership team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Cradlepoint’s 401(k) plan has a 4% company match and immediate vesting. Employees will also receive company-paid employee basic life and AD&D insurance and company-paid disability benefits.

 

Your Time:

Your work-life balance is important to us. Cradlepoint provides generous paid time off, including: 15 days of Flexible Time Off (FTO), four paid quarterly well-being days, and 11 paid annual holidays (includes nine company holidays and up to two floating holidays).  Please note that an employee’s FTO balance and floating holidays may be prorated in the first year, based on start date.   Cradlepoint also offers paid maternity-leave benefits and six weeks 100% paid family leave for all employees.
