Summary/Objective
To effectively perform all duties in material receiving in an efficient and accurate manner, while following all company policies and procedures. All jobs will be performed safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Food Safety and Quality
Essential Functions
·Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
·Keep work area and equipment neat and clean and properly stored and area in 5S condition.
·Visual inspection of all delivery trucks for cleanliness insect/rodent infestation and potential contamination.
·Verify and record seal numbers on in-bound trailers (if applicable).
·Verify purchase order number and product identification numbers are correct.
·Verify that the COA matches Lot Code and complies with product specification
·Measure and record the temperature of the raw materials as required.
·Ability to test raw material product for Quality Analysis as needed.
·Audit and evaluate the raw material and packaging warehouse for sanitation, FIFO, product Quality and all applicable Specialty Bakery Food Safety and Quality System policies.
·Maintain accurate documentation as needed and required as outlined by Specialty Bakery Food Safety and Quality Systems.
·Collect and retain raw material samples; test samples as required.
·Ability to safely climb a delivery tanker and sanitarily collect product samples.
·Monitor Food Safety process equipment including magnets and sifters.
·Monitor Food Safety control systems including product storage temperature.
·Perform bulk tank storage CIP on empty product vessels.
·Shall be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
·Complete other duties as assigned.
·Maintains regular and predictable attendance, as well as working overtime as needed.
·Responsible for clear communication with associates and management regarding raw material and product performance as well as food safety and quality concerns.
Required Education and Experience
·Must be at least 18 years of age
·High School Diploma or GED equivalent
·Basic math and computer skills
·Climb ladders/delivery trucks to test product
·Computer skills
·Minimum of two years previous quality assurance or receiving experience in a food processing plant environment
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other team members.
Work Environment
This position operates in the manufacturing plant and outside.
The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and other office equipment.
All required PPE for plant operational safety is expected to be used.
Position requires ability to communicate and work well with peers.
Must be able to work in outside weather elements periodically.
Physical Demands
Regularly required lift up to 20 pounds.Periodically required to stand and walk and reach with hand and arms. Uses a computer keyboard and monitor of to 50% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
