We have an exciting new opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Lawrenceburg, TN. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the employee experience.

Job Duties:

Human Resources

  • Payroll and benefits administration
  • Responsible for weekly payroll processing.
  • Utilize HRIS system to create reports, review timecards, and maintain employee profiles
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures
  • Assist with recruiting for current open positions, including managing job postings, scheduling, and conducting interviews, making job offers, completing pre-employment screenings, and onboarding.
  • Prepare formal communications to employees as required
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies and employee benefits
  • Help develop and manage employment programs, salary compensation, performance evaluations, promotions, and training programs
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State employment laws and company policies
  • Advises front line supervisors and managers on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Communicate and provide guidance to management and employees as needed
  • Treats all employee information in a confidential manner.
  • Manage boot allowance incentive
  • Other functions, relevant to Human Resources, Safety, and Finance as required

Safety

  • Participate on the CRAIG Health and Safety committee
  • Administer safety training for employees as required throughout their employment with CRAIG
  • Track participant enrolment, progress, marks, and other information by maintaining a database.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Health & Safety policy manual
  • Perform regular safety inspections and walk-abouts to identify potential safety hazards and violations
  • Monitor, track and address safety violations and accidents

Requirements

  • Human Resources Management or Payroll diploma preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a HR or Payroll role required or a combination of education and experience.
  • High level of attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Good attendance
  • Mathematical reasoning
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Knowledge and experience with general office equipment such as photocopiers, telephone systems, email, and fax machines
  • Knowledge for federal and provincial HR regulations
  • Experience with payroll systems, internal controls, and management.
