Responsibilities
Under the limited Supervision of the Safety Manager, this person is responsible for maintaining relationships with locations by performing safety inspections (both physical and virtual), monthly safety audit reviews, and assisting with new acquisition safety implementation.
This position is remote, with weekly travel to Crash Champions Collision Repair shops (a company vehicle and gas card is provided).

- Conduct inspections to identify and help correct non-compliant items in our shops.
- Communicate via email reports and results of inspections.
- Able to identify opportunities for improvement and clearly articulate how to improve processes.
- Audit/train new acquisition set-ups regarding hazardous waste, safety training, medical evaluations, etc.
- Assist in accident investigations and assessing root causes.
- Assist in resolving compliance problems.
- Demonstrate job knowledge regarding location and identification of opportunities for any risk improvements.
- Responsible for quality work completed at a high level of expertise.
- Perform monthly audit reviews by reviewing policy and delivering reports and action items to the business.
- Must be punctual and dependable in adhering to scheduled work hours.
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the daily task functions.
- Must be able to travel via airplane to conduct inspections in selected markets (9-12 trips per year).
- To produce quality performance, the specialist must be able to use, operate, and understand the platforms of Excel, Word, Smartsheet, and other various e-tools.
- Performing other department duties as instructed by the department supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must have some experience in safety concepts and implementation.
- Must understand record-keeping processes.
- Must understand all compliance processes and standards for body shop safety compliance.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm and foster a positive work ethic, showing pride and a can-do spirit.
- Must be able to follow verbal instructions correctly.
- Must be willing to learn and develop new skills to broaden capability.
- Good safety and housekeeping habits required.
- Consistently good attendance.
- Must be willing to take educational courses to understand their role in compliance reporting.
