We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us! Covenant Living at The Samarkand is seeking a part time activity assistant to help create joy and peace of mind for residents in our skilled nursing facility. As the activity assistant, you will lead and participate in group activities and one-on-one activities with seniors. As the activity assistant, you will create fun for our residents by completing the following tasks, and others, Assist, lead and participate in activities in our skilled nursing, Maintain contact with room-bound patients to provide for their special needs As needed, assist residents to activities by pushing wheelchairs. Maintain daily charting of participation of residents. Develop and produce materials and bulletin boards appropriate for promoting activities . Organize, clean and maintain activity supplies and storage areas as needed. Maintain and circulate the library cart and recorded tapes in the health Facility when assigned. The ideal candidate will have: High School education, required. Ability to read and write English in order to maintain proper records, as well as, must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff, required. Artistic ability and creative talent desired.
