What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Accountant position at Creative Financial Staffing?
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a holding group with an international presence
- Opportunity to work with highly experienced team
- Our client needs additional accounting support due to the current workload
- Position will be hybrid - 3 days per week in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) 2 days per week remote (Thursday, Friday)
Responsibilities:
- 50% will be AP - will be sole person doing ap, manual process. 20-30 invoices/week
- 50% will be the additional responsibilities
- Booking journal entries for some of the small foreign entities - template financial statements (upload QuickBooks balances into foreign statement reporting) 2-3 entities/month
- Some intercompany transactions to reconcile monthly
- Year-end closing prep (FYE 12/31)Audit prep - data mining in QuickBooks
- Note: No payroll related responsibilities
Requirements:
- 5-7 years general accounting experience including cash recs to close the month, balance sheet, ap, etc.
- Should know where to go to find the discrepancies and determine which entries should be booked
- QuickBooks experience required (client uses both desktop and online) - should have one or the other
- Accounting degree preferred. Candidates with relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
- Excel - intermediate to advanced experience. Will be using templates that are already created for financial reporting and VAT reports that are circulated for approval.

- Able to figure things out on his/her own and not rely on explicit steps and constant supervision (e.g. if something is not working out exactly the way demonstrated, have the critical thinking skills and initiative to try to figure it out.)
