Established and growing general contractor located in south Denver is looking to add a sharp Job Cost Accountant to their team!
The Job Cost Accountant will work within a team of seven and report to the Accounting Manager.
The Job Cost Accountant role will initially be in the office during training and then can become a hybrid role.
Job Cost Accountant Duties:
Hours for the Job Cost Accountant are Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 (with flexibility) in a business-casual environment (jeans are okay)

The Job Cost Accountant will work within a team of seven and report to the Accounting Manager.

Job Cost Accountant Duties:
- Prepare monthly billings to clients
- Prepare reconciliations of billings to actual costs
- Verify and process subcontractor requests for payment
- Prepare and authorize timely payment to subcontractors, mostly through Textura
- Process project related trade invoices; verifying receipt of item or service, sales tax calculations, and appropriate authorization for payment
- Provide analytics or reconciliation (subcontracts, labor reports (including hours, rates, and iovd)
- Sales and Use tax compliance/audits
- Assist with audits
- 1-3 years of relevant experience doing job cost accounting
- bachelor's degree in accounting is a plus!
- construction industry experience
- understanding of Colorado sales tax
- any experience with CMIC and/or Textura software is highly desired
- proficient with MS Excel
- customer service attitude
