Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are people who work directly with people with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities with the aim of assisting the individual to become integrated into his/her community or the least restrictive environment.
A direct support professional is a person who assists an individual with a disability to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community, assists with activities of daily living if needed, and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. A DSP may provide support to a person with a disability at home, work, school, church, and other community places. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $14.25 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
- Overnight Shift (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
