Creative Solutions in Healthcare is looking for an entry level Benefits Clerk to join our team! Experience working in a long-term care environment, and benefits is desired but not required. Must be well versed in both Microsoft Word and Excel!
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work within deadlines.
- Ability to comply with the Company's and departmental safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
- Willing to learn and apply new technology.
- Maintain employee files in accordance with Federal Labor regulations, Department of Health Services, & Facility policy.
- Review claims applications, process claims in coordination with insurance carriers, follow up on insurance invoices, coordinate COBRA for eligible employees.
- Perform a variety of responsible office support work such as composing confidential correspondence and resolutions; preparation of spreadsheets and data entry.
- Maintaining accurate records and files.
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting employee benefits.
- Experience using HRIS database.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect, credibility, and integrity.
- Problem analysis and resolution skills.
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
