Overview
Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking an Analyst (Engineering Technical Writer) to provide support for the development of engineering and technical documentation for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) shipboard electronic navigation systems and sensors. Technical writing support includes but is not limited to document production, formatting, proofing, and editing.
Responsibilities
Current knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products 2016 or later, to include use of collaboration, editing, and formatting tools.
Detailed knowledge of Government and DOD/USCG regulations, standards, and current procedures used in development of technical manuals, technical orders, change criteria, specifications, and other technical documentation.
Written and/or verbal communication with Project Managers and Project Officers with regard to the status of active projects.
Support engineering development efforts for Electronic Navigation Systems and Navigation Sensors, to include SINS-2, AIS-2, ECDIS, ECS, DS60 DSL, ADF and others.
Attend shipboard site surveys as required to obtain information necessary to develop technical documentation.
Review and analyze technical drawings, technical publications, logistics documentation, site survey reports and other related documentation in order to assist in the development of Engineering Change (EC)/Time Compliant Technical Orders.
Develop, monitor, and/or coordinate with SFLC/C5ISC shared services for the development of C5ISC System Engineering Life-Cycle (SELC) and SFLC TCTO engineering artifacts, (drawings, Weights and Moments, Electrical Load Analysis, TEMPEST reviews, Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) reviews, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs)).
Review, upload, and maintain engineering documentation to USCG MS SharePoint repositories as required.
Attend engineering team meetings, System Engineering Techncial Reviews (SETR), etc.; as required by the USCG to record meeting minutes, capture action items, and update lessons learned repositories.
Review and analyze engineering activities and artifacts to determine and report progress, status and overall trends associated with task duration and process improvement.
Access SFLC Central to create, maintain, and monitor engineering development activities.
Access WEBFLIS and other logistics databases in order to develop BOMs and EC Government and Installation Activity Equipment/Materials tables.
Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
A four-year Baccalaureate Degree or completion of USCG or DOD Technical Schools.
Education and/or USCG/DOD Training may be substituted as follows:
Five-years of EC development and technical writing experience related to DOD/DHS technical and/or engineering support
The Analyst shall have at least five (5) years’ technical writing experience in the development of USCG and/or DOD technical and logistical engineering documentation, such as:
Engineering Change (EC)
Time Compliant Technical Orders (TCTO)
Equipment Integrated Logistics Support Plans (EILSP)
