Role: Act as the Application subject matter expert for Credit Union of America's Core Banking System environment. Co-manage the relationship with Core banking vendor. Responsible for understanding and documenting the core banking system, including orchestration of software as it relates to Core records. Partner with Project Management, Development, and Applications teams to securely enhance and integrate business functions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
*Monitor core banking systems to ensure optimal performance and stability in both on-premises and virtual environments. Manage and support integrations to the Core Banking System from other interconnected applications, especially automated scheduling software. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to core banking systems, finding root causes, determining solutions, testing and implementing the solutions.
*Partner with Business units, including but not limited to Development, Project Management, and Applications to meet deadlines for new features, enhancements, and testing. Confirm Core functionality aligns with business goals.
*Document current and new Core application processes that are detailed yet digestible for non-technical staff. Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in core banking systems.
*Provide technical support to users and assist with system training. Install, configure, and maintain core banking systems, including software upgrades and patches. Work closely with the IT team and vendors to resolve technical issues, acting as the point of contact for pending issues. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
*Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
*Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Other Skills:
*Minimum 5 years of experience in banking systems administration.
*Strong knowledge of core banking systems and related technologies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Must be self-motivated and also work in a team environment.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
