POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and implementation of business banking products, services, and programs in support of business members and their financial needs. Grows the member business deposit base and non-interest income by enhancing relationships through referrals, outreach, campaigns, business development, and managing existing accounts. Direct CUW’s business lending strategy including business development and origination. Leads joint calls on prospective and existing members to arrange and obtain new memberships and relationships. Creates and updates clear standard operating procedures that outline steps in establishing and servicing business accounts.
Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities
50% Strategy – Provides vision, leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of organizational goals, priorities, projects, and technology. Collaborates closely with executive management and key stakeholders to develop strategic business services plan. Expand current business banking offerings by developing competitive products and services, with strategies to capitalize on market share.
30% Performance – Provides leadership and support that drives excellence in the results of sales, service, and operational controls. Ensure successful achievement of corporate goals and established performance expectations for respective areas of oversight including memberships, deposits, loans, and treasury management solutions. Professionally and actively manages ongoing account relationships with business members. Identifies ways to optimize profitability and regularly evaluates business product pricing. Deliver on CUW mission and core values, resulting in positive member service and experiences. Ensure compliance within credit union policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations. Track and report performance metrics accordingly.
15% Leadership, Culture, & Engagement – Cultivates an environment and workplace experience that hires, develops, and recognizes quality talent to meet the needs of the membership. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen the Credit Union’s bench of future leaders and achieve business objectives. Lead in a way to inspire the mission and values of the organization to develop effective leaders and increase employee engagement to become an employer of choice.
5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational facility strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: 10 years of progressive Senior Leadership experience in Financial Industry and Business Services are required. 10 years of experience working in a Credit Union preferred.
