The Day-to-Day:
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, customers, visitors, and vendors.
- Part of Crees Security team that rotates between multiple positions during a given shift; positions include facilitys Security Operations Center (SOC), patrol, entry control point(s), and flex/relief.
- Perform patrols of our campus, parking lots, and manufacturing areas.
- Perform vehicle inspections and searches for chemical deliveries
- Perform weekly/monthly audits such as lighting surveys, perimeter checks, door and AED checks.
- Monitor surveillance and access control systems.
- Ability to Work inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
- Monitor facility, life-safety, and security systems at multiple locations and respond appropriately.
- Respond to security/duress alarms, emergency codes, and other request for assistance
- Accurately record/report patrols, daily activities, and incidents.
- Responsible for monitoring cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via phone and radio, and operate access control technology
- Provide general assistance to both employees and guests
- Conduct internal investigations as required.
- Perform drills and exercises designed to improve security and emergency response capabilities.
- Maintain various records of communications and events.
- Conduct and document systems testing.
- Process customer requests related to Security and Emergency Management operations.
- Notifying and coordinating corporate response by distribution of advisories and other communications.
- Any duties appointed by Security and Emergency Manager

- CPR/AED First Aid Certification preferred.

- Ability to handle high pressure situations and make clear sound decisions.
- Ability to stay calm and give direction under pressure
- Must have the ability to develop and write clear and concise emails, memos, and reports.
- Ability to consistently perform at a high-level in a sometimes demanding fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills (various office and system programs)
- Strong report writing skills
- Be committed to providing excellent customer service.
- Must be able to multi-task
- Willing to accept feedback to improve/enhance performance
- Reliable transportation
Highly preferred skills and certifications:
- CPO Certification (IFPO)
- 2 years of experience working in the security industry
- Prior SOC experience
- Experience using Everbridge, DNA fusion (Open Options), Easy Lobby, Exaq Vision
- Experience with life-safety systems such as Simplex, Notifier, and Gamewell
- Good verbal communication skills
- Be excellent at time management
- Currently have or willing to obtain NYS Security Guard License
