What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server - breakfast Host position at Crescent Hotels & Resorts?
The beautiful Highline Vail DoubleTree by Hilton has a seasonal opening for an energetic, outgoing, customer service oriented and experience individual to fill the position of Server to greet and serve our guest food and drinks they ordered in courteous, friendly and professional manner and according to standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Great guests and confirm room number and eligibility for Honors credit.
2. Determine guest room number and have guest sign voucher to authorize payment
3. Seat guests and explain breakfast buffet and offering.
4. Take and serve guest special requests promptly and according to service manual.
2. Do all necessary set-up and side work as assigned.
3. Answer any guest questions about the buffet.
4. Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
5. Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
6. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
At least 6 months of experience in a similar position.
Food handler and responsible alcohol server certifications
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
