About the Role:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing CRH Catering's two-day shifts.
Shifts:
A: Sunday - Thursday 6am-6pm
B: Thursday- Saturday 6am-6pm
Our Warehouse Operations Manager should expect to work Monday-Friday 7am-4pm typically.
The primary responsibilities are to provide oversight of the day to day operations of the shipping, receiving and warehousing including the quality inspections, inventory management and control, order fulfillment, inbound receiving, shipping, and returns management. Ensure effective coaching methods throughout these departments while maintaining all company policies and procedures. Performance expectations will be met when the above duties are performed and when internal and external customers receive zero errors and minimal complaints.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of warehouse, shipping and receiving operations including partnering with internal departments.
- Mentor and develop existing supervisory team using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountability; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
- Ensure continuous review and improvements of operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Oversee daily monitoring efforts to ensure productivity objectives meet company/departmental standards.
- Arrange daily/weekly meetings with staff as appropriate to review overall team/individual performance.
- Confirm all deadlines and priority cut-off times are met.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track success and/or recurring problems.
- Attract and retain qualified and motivated workforce; while encouraging new ideas for improvements.
- Develop personnel to ensure appropriate back up/successors in all key positions. Coach and groom direct reports for excellence while documenting their progress and cross-training to provide adequate coverage in key areas.
- Provide oversight while evaluating employee performance, handle disciplinary issues and maintaining an environment of respect and accountability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures.
- Computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and operational systems/software.
- Excellent customer service, multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify problems and resolve in a timely manner.
- Possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately.
- Promote an environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics or relative field managing teams.
