Accounting Manager - University of Washington

Job Description

As the Accounting Manager- University of Washington Athletics you will support the objectives of the Accounting department while assisting operating departments with forecasting, budget, labor and inventory controls, analysis, auditing as well as operational responsibilities for Aramark collegiate athletic food and beverage operations.

COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position ranges from $80,000 to $85,000 depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

• Adheres to all Aramark financial policies and procedures.
• Develops, implements, monitors, and corrects system controls.
• Audits assets and procedures. 
• Maintains all asset inventory systems.
• Provides timely and accurate financial reporting to Aramark including Flash reports and monthly reconciliation.
• Prepares and presents all required client statements, financial summaries and statistical reports.
• Maintains data as required by Aramark and the client.
• Prepares budgets and forecasts.
• Maintains Licenses and Permits issued in Aramark’s name.
• Manages the Accounting Clerk and Accounts Payable function.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Note: Due to the nature of the business additional duties may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge and key attributes:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in service industry combined with a system driven approach to credit control
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is desired. Advanced  level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel required (vlookups, pivot tables)
• Experience of working with Oracle System and payroll systems
• Possess relevant or related financial qualification 
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self motivated
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
