MS / AP Specialist

Position Overview

Reporting to the Billing Coordinator this role is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of material quotes in our accounting system as well as payment of our material and haul purchases. This roles allows the flexibility to work one-day a week from home.  

Pay Range: $20-$22 / hour

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of material sales quotes in our Point of Sale and Accounting System
• Responsible for the payment of all incoming material purchases
• Payment of all haul invoices (internal transfers, incoming material, and customer hauls)
• Work closely will the billing department to resolve pricing discrepancies between vendor invoices and ticket information
• Work with internal sales department on accurate haul pricing for customer deliveries
• Primary back-up for the receptionist
  • Answering and directing incoming and in-house calls to the appropriate individuals.
  • Greeting customers and visitors in an efficient and pleasant manner
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• 1 year experience in Accounts Payable or Billing preferred
• Associates degree preferred

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Proficient in basic Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, outlook)
• High attention to detail
• Excellent phone manners and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of job duties simultaneously.
• The initiative to cross-train and learn new tasks as assigned
• Good attendance and positive attitude a must.
• Dependable and timely

General Requirements 

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, as well as computer skills
• Hours are extended throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary
