Job Description

The Patient Experience Supervisor is responsible for following and implementing company policies and procedures that guide and support a positive customer experience. This role will monitor staff performance in the absence of the director and ensure customers' satisfaction. Acts as a liaison between the patient, the Food Service Department, and Nursing Services. Helps train, support, & lead other ambassadors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with patients and/or family members, frontline nursing and nursing leadership.
  • Receive service requests via phone calls, email, and on-line submittals
  • Enter daily patient rounds into Vocera
  • Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food Service Department.   
  • Visits patients upon admission to educate on the food ordering process. 
  • May obtain food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members.  
  • Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food Service Department.
  • Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.  
  • Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.  
  • Visits with patients daily to assess satisfaction with all food service: including courtesy, quality, and timeliness. 
  • Implements service recovery interventions where appropriate.  Follows up with patients to ensure that their needs have been met.
  • Communicates patient-need findings with appropriate members of Support Services leadership team and Nursing.
  • Demonstrates good judgment; recognizes and reports errors made in the course of one’s performance and shows accountabilities for all actions.
  • Management may revise duties/schedule at any time.
  • Flexibility to variable shifts, every other weekend and rotating holiday’s 
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.  Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation, client and within ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy.  Maintains all records and reports necessary to regulations and codes.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • One (1) year of call and customer service experience.
  • Must be able to interact and possess communication skills with individuals at all levels of organization, as well as clients, vendors, and sub-contractors. 
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Must possess flexibility towards work assignments and work well with others. 
  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Possess motivation and initiative to perform assigned duties with a minimum of direct supervision.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
