Responsibilities
The Senior Program Manager position leading this task is highly visible to the customer. The position leads and executes responsibilities for a Project Management Officer providing Project Management Support Services to our customer for several high-visibility (Agency Leadership Level), High dollar value projects.
- Assists the designated NNSA OCIO Program and Project Managers in the overall management of various projects and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in each project are implemented in a timely manner.
- Performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems.
- Leads PMO team across the spectrum of project management functions.
- Organizes, directs, and manages Task Order operations involving multiple, complex and inter-related project tasks.
- Manages teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations/remote.
- Maintains and manages the customer interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
- Responsible for overall contractor performance & finances on the Task Order.
- Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
- Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
- Utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents.
- Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables.
- Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Manages a team between 12-25 FTEs.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (no dual-citizenship)
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or four years of equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
- PMP certification
- Active DOE Q clearance
- Proven success leading matrixed technical teams with success driving complex projects to success
- Experience following and improving disciplined project management processes
- Proven communicator both written and oral.
