Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Quality Assurance

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to provide support to the staff in our office .Our ideal candidate has a medical assistant certificate from a vocational college and experience working in a medical setting. Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and have strong organizational skills and be capable of meeting deadline requirements while maintaining high standards of quality service delivery.

Medical Assistant/Quality Assurance Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filled out and available in patients’ medical records.

Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.

Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls

Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.

Verifies patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history.

Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.

Reviews all patient chart.

Review all nursing notes.

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Bachelor’s degree preferred
1 years in a medical office
Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology
Previous experience in specific medical field preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
